The third Town Team meeting that took place at Fabric Magic on the October 10th was a very well attended event with over 50 local residents and traders coming in to take part. Liz Machin, the owner of Fabric Magic had spent the previous fortnight contacting all the businesses in the town in order to build a database, which was one of the main reasons the event was so well attended.
There was some lively debate on the night and the overiding message was that Trowbridge retailers need to more proactive on social media sites and with their web presence. A lot of great advice was recorded and one of the first initiatives the Town Team would like to take on board are to establish focus groups for the Roundstone Street area of Trowbridge and the indoor market at Castle Place.
Lance Allan, Town Clerk summed up at the end by saying that “Trowbridge is already on the road to regeneration with the new Civic Centre and Library at County Hall opening and with the buidling works at St Stephens Place well underway for an 80 bed Premier Inn and seven screen Odeon Cinema, what the Town Team now needs to do is build on those successes”
